Can I just start off by saying WOW! Teresa and her husband truly have a gift for designing and remodeling vacation homes that stand out! I actually shot another one of Teresa’s stunning vacation rentals in Freeport Texas, the Casa Paloma and just as the Casa Paloma was stunning so was this Arkansas vacation rental, The Drake in Bella Vista Arkansas.
I was so excited when Teresa reached out to me and told me she wanted me to capture her vacation rental in Arkansas as it was the perfect time since I would be visiting Arkansas for the holidays! Teresa wanted to capture this perfect short-term vacation rental in the Ozarks for nature-enthusiastic guests! Since Bella Vista Arkansas is known for its mountain biking and hiking trails – it’s perfect for a nature lover’s getaway. You could tell The Drake was designed with this in mind! It’s located right on Lake Avalon in Bella Vista and right down the street from the Little Sugar Trails. Truly the perfect location for any nature enthusiast ready to relax and rejuvenate after a full day or long weekend of adventuring. The Drake is a spacious 4 bedroom 3 bath modern lakefront home designed to perfection, with a large open floor plan perfect for entertaining, including a game room and 2 living rooms, both upstairs and downstairs!
When arriving at the Drake I was mindblown by how beautiful it looked inside and out! I loved how not only did it have a front porch and seating area, but it also had cute outdoor setup steps away from the home with a firepit and Rattan patio furniture, where you could sit and relax in front of the lake. The inside of the Drake was more than spectacular too! I loved the dark and light blue touches in every room that gave such a calm and peaceful feeling, from the brick wall in one of the side rooms to the kitchen cabinets and island!
Capturing each room was a lot of fun because there wasn’t a single room that didn’t have its own unique touch and feature! I really loved how Teresa thought of everything for this home! The game room was filled with multiple different games from a foosball table to a dart board as well as a marble side table and chairs to mingle in. One of the side rooms had two leather armchairs and a table with a chessboard, and each room had its own art decor! Teresa really made sure that each room would feel like home, whether you wanted to mingle with friends, watch TV, or just relax. AND each room was extremely well-lit with so much natural light! If you know me, you know I LOVE natural light and this home was filled with it. The curtain windows were probably one of my favorite touches of this rental!
I’m so excited to be heading back to Bella Vista Arkansas in late Spring 2023 to photograph another Arkansas vacation rental in the area!
