When it comes to Texas interior design photography, one of the most powerful tools I have in my arsenal is the ability to showcase texture and material. Recently, I had the pleasure of capturing a stunning Texas interior design project with Admired Home in Irving, TX, and let me tell you—the textures and materials in this project were jaw-dropping. From the soft linens in the bedrooms to the intricate tiles in the bathroom, every detail spoke to the care and attention that went into designing this beautiful space. It was my job to capture it all, ensuring every texture and material was highlighted in a way that truly showcased the designer’s vision.

For example, during my shoot with Admired Home, the texture of the bird wallpaper in the bathroom added such a unique charm to the space—it almost felt like you could reach out and touch it through the image. By photographing the bookcases from multiple angles, I was able to highlight the depth and texture of the shelves. This approach also showcased the decor beautifully. This approach helps the viewer feel the warmth and personality of the space, even if they can’t physically touch it.
Highlighting Contrast
A great way to showcase texture in interior design photography is by contrasting different materials. For instance, pairing sleek surfaces with more textured elements, such as smooth countertops alongside patterned fabrics or rustic wood, creates a visually striking balance.
