Nestled in the heart of Houston, the Larkin Project by Marian Louise Design stands as a testament to the power of transformation in classy interior design. A recent collaboration brought me behind the lens to capture the unfolding story of elegance and sophistication within these walls. Stepping into the home, it was evident that Marian Louise Design had woven magic, turning a space once veiled in dark tones into a symphony of class, comfort, and refinement.
The Larkin Project was a testament to the magic that Marian Louise Design brings to each project. The home underwent a remarkable transformation from its previous state, where dark tones dominated, to a palette of classy, neutral hues. This not only brightened up the interiors but also created an inviting atmosphere that embraced contemporary elegance. The infusion of neutral tones served as a canvas upon which Marian added touches of charm and character.
One of the standout features of the Larkin Project was the strategic use of pops of color throughout the home. It’s fascinating how the design team managed to strike a perfect balance, infusing vibrancy without overwhelming the sophisticated ambiance. The Queen Elizabeth powder bath, inspired by the client’s time in London, was particularly captivating. This was one of my favorite details of this classy interior design project! This room became a canvas for artistic expression, with green hues dominating the space and lively bursts of color from carefully chosen accents.
Undoubtedly, the Queen Elizabeth powder bath was the pièce de résistance of the Larkin Project. Inspired by the grandeur of London and the iconic Queen, the bathroom design was an artistic masterpiece. The green paint on the walls transported you to a garden oasis, while carefully curated decor pieces added a touch of regality. The pops of color from the artwork on the walls created a harmonious blend of sophistication and playfulness, making it my favorite room to capture during the interior design photoshoot.
The art of capturing classy interior design lies in paying attention to details that showcase the designer’s vision. During the Larkin Project photoshoot, I focused on angles that highlighted the transformation, capturing the play of light on the neutral tones and the vibrancy of the pops of color. Here are some tips when capturing the essence of a classy interior:
