As a Houston interior photographer, I recently had the privilege of working with Terravista Design Group on a stunning project that truly showcased their exceptional talent. The clients had completed a remodel of their West U home a year before calling Sherry at Terravista. They decided to move to Kingwood to be closer to their children and grandchildren, and they wanted to use many of the new furnishings they had purchased for their recent remodel.
Terravista Design Group transformed the dining room by adding a beautiful mural and a new round table. This created a bold backdrop for the clients’ cherished dining room furniture and crystal chandelier. The result was a space that exuded elegance and sophistication. The dining room was one of the standout areas of this project, so I made sure to take both vertical and wide shots capturing the full scope of its grandeur!
In the powder room, Sherry showcased her ability to blend style with the clients’ beloved pieces. She incorporated blue paneling and gold small-scale geometric wallpaper, perfectly complementing the cherished vanity. This room became a testament to the power of thoughtful design in creating spaces that feel both personal and luxurious.
The master bedroom featured a custom upholstered bed, which was a focal point of our shoot. Both vertical and horizontal shots of the bed were essential to capture its intricate details! The master bathroom, with its elegantly designed shower and vanity area, required angled shots to highlight the luxurious finishes and thoughtful layout.
One of the key aspects of my work as a Houston interior photographer is understanding the vision of my clients. Prior to each shoot, I gather information and details from my clients to pinpoint the areas they want to focus on and understand the story behind each design choice. For the Terravista project, it was clear that the dining room, powder room, master bedroom, and bathroom were of utmost importance.
Photography is more than just capturing images; it’s about telling a story through visuals. By focusing on the elements that interior designers and homeowners cherish most, I can create high-quality images that attract their dream clients and showcase their work in the best light!
For any interior photography project, it’s crucial to come up with a game plan. Understanding the backstory and the designer’s vision allows me to capture the essence of the space. This collaboration ensures that every detail is showcased, from the blue pendants in the kitchen to the beloved vanity in the powder room. A well-thought-out plan leads to a successful shoot that truly reflects the designer’s creativity and the homeowner’s personality.
